Bolt Financial, Inc., a leading payments company, today announced the first tranche of its Series E2 funding round, which targets a total of up to $27 million. Championed and fully approved by the company's preferred and common stockholders alongside its Board, this initial capital provides vital working capital to sustain momentum as Bolt finalizes the remainder of the round. The tranche is composed entirely of existing investors and shareholders and is structured as a convertible note, which will convert at a discount into the broader Series E2 equity financing.
Following a rigorous period of operational optimization, Bolt has successfully recorded its first months of near-profitability. The company has aggressively streamlined operations, implementing advanced AI processes to enhance engineering efficiency and fundamentally reduce overall operating costs. Despite a challenging macroeconomic environment, Bolt continues to innovate, launching more than a dozen major product lines and expanding into new verticals, including subscription-based payments, digital players, and tech founders. Bolt touts its engineering-led culture, which has resulted in a 10x increase in product velocity and closed the competitive gap through the leverage of AI.
"Over the past decade, our investors have supported Bolt through every chapter of our growth," said Bolt Financial Founder and Chief Executive Officer Ryan Breslow. "This first tranche allows us to capitalize on our recent operational milestones, clear legacy obligations, and ensure a seamless transition as we progress toward the completion of our full Series E2 round. I am deeply committed to our vision, which is why I have personally contributed over $5 million to support the company during this crucial period."
The company is currently processing remaining commitments for the final close of the Series E2 round, having secured indications of interest from leading capital groups.
